Andreas van Cranenburgh is assistant professor Digital Humanities and Information Science at the University of Groningen. He works on natural language processing with applications on literary studies. His dissertation and current research are on syntactic parsing and text analysis, with applications on the question of what distinguishes literary texts from other texts.
He was a Researcher-in-Residence at the KB in 2021, working on canonicity in historical Dutch novels.
