Presentation renewed KB Lab website

Introductie

Since its launch in 2013, the KB Lab has been the portal to all digital experimental tools and data of the KB, National Library of the Netherlands. Regularly new tools and data sets have been added, made in projects with the KB Researchers-in-residence and the KB Fellows, to an extent that we needed a refreshed website where all (new) content is easier to find, use and integrate into research.

1. Search, download and analyse KB data sets: a practical introduction – Rene Voorburg & Juliette Lonij

This workshop offers a practical, accessible introduction on searching, downloading and analysing KB data sets for beginning users. Participants are shown how they can form search queries using the search API, download relevant data with the Resolver and extracting key words and their context using the Frame Generator, a recent tool of the KB Lab.

2. Enrichments in Delpher: how to generate, use and correct. – Theo van Veen

This workshop is mainly aimed at linked named entities as enrichment. The process of automatic generating will be discussed, what they can provide when searching and presenting (using the xportal and/or a Delpher add-on) and how users can correct them. At the end of the workshops participants can enrich and correct enrichments using their own tablet or laptop.
